8-8-08 - August 8th 2008 auscipicious to get married

Without a doubt, this is the most auspicious number. In Cantonese, which is a dialect of the Chinese, eight is pronounced fatt which rhymes with prosperity. Many Chineses paid a lot of money to get number eight car licence plate, address, phone numbers and etc.

So, throngs of lovers will be getting married on 8th of August 2008. I believe they will even time their marriage to 8 am in morning.

Have you book your wedding date yet? Make it 8.8.08 which is triple prosperity for you.

How to Make Predictions using Dominoes

Dominoes are a simple method for telling fortunes, although they are associated with children’s games they are a lesser-known form of ‘Sortilege’ system known as Cleromancy. The practice of using dominoes as a way of casting the future dates back to twelve-century China. The game appears to have reached western civilisation when it first became popular in the courts of Mediterranean Europe trading nations in the 1700’s. By the end of the eighteenth century they were in popular use as a game in England, France and Italy and it is most likely that they reached the USA via Chinese immigrant labourers. The word “Dominoe “ originated from the French word referring to a black and white hood called a “Domino” which was worn by catholic priests in cold weather,

Dominoes are still widely used in provinces of China, Korea and India for both gambling and fortune telling. In a similar way to runes, dice and tarot dominoes are a way of enhancing ones psychic power and are still used by some psychics in the west. It has also been claimed that gypsies used to tell fortunes using dominoes printed on cards in a similar way to tarot or playing cards. Psychics say that you should not use dominoes for divinational purposes more than once a week or the results may lose there effect.

Modern dominoes are usually made of wood, plastic or metal but in earlier sets ivory was commonly used. Standard sets in the West consist of twenty-eight rectangular tiles called bones, cards, tiles, stones or spinners. .Each tile has two halves the sides that are not blank bear dots or pips numbering one to six. The dots represent all the possible number combinations, from double blank to double six.

There are various ways of laying down the dominoes; one such method is similar to that used in tarot card spreads. And a domino is selected for past, present and future. To answer a question or respond to a persons need for guidance or direction, the dominoes are placed face down upon a flat surface and shuffled well. The question should be asked by the person requiring guidance and meditated upon for a period of time. Three dominoes are usually turned over and are interpreted as follows :

Six/six - Prosperity and unexpected good fortune.
Six/five - An act of kindness will bring good luck, be patient.
Six/four - Unfavourable aspect, possibly legal related.
Six/three - Unexpected enjoyable travel or gift related to travel.

Astrological Match-Making

Love and marriage are the two basic things in our lives that tend to fascinate us very easily. Through the study of astrology the position, placement and movement of the different planets with respect to our natal chart gives a clear insight into our love life. We can learn a lot about ourselves and our partners.

"Are we compatible?" - is the very first question that strikes a couple. Compatibility and love are synonymous terms. Love depends much on the manner how the two persons involved in a particular relationship get along with each other. A certain quality or trait of your which seems to be attracting to you today may turn disgusting and intolerable tomorrow.

Thus in order to check out the level and degree of compatibility between a couple the studies of astrology is an indispensable factor. Astrology helps you have an insight about the basic characteristic traits that you possess as an individual. It also gives a detailed report on how well you will be able to carry on your relationship with your partner - your compatibility and love ranking. The Compatibility Report of a couple is derived from the analytical study of their horoscopes and this is possible only with the study of astrology.

The movement of the heavenly bodies in the sky and their influence on our lives are the things which are dealt in astrology. There are 12 astrological sun signs and each sign signifies certain energy. Astrology indicates how each of the 12 sun signs expresses their respective energy.

All the signs, houses and planets in an individual's natal chart have certain powers associated with them. The strength of the planet depends on the house it occupies and the aspects it makes. Along with the power component, each planet also has a harmony component. From research it is also seen that the product of the two, correctly generates the compatibility level between two individuals. After generating results for a random number of people, average values have been calculated, based upon which the compatibility report is generated.

These days a large number of small yet advanced software has been introduced for the purpose of making the compatibility calculation of the intendeds and the love couples simpler. The Softwares are unique relationship compatibility test software that helps one analyze his/ her relationships based on the planetary positions at the time of birth. Moreover all the calculations and reports generated are based on Vedic astrology calculations.

For the purpose of deriving the compatibility report the user is initially asked to enter the natal data for both the partners. After the input of the required data the Compatibility Report for the same is generated. Compatibility reports thus generated are highly accurate and interesting, giving an insight into one's relationship. After all Compatibility is the key to success in any relationship.

How to Predict the Future using Spinning Objects

Throughout history people have sort ways of finding spiritual or mystical guidance in their every day lives. Consulting the Oracle, Soothsayer or village wise person who had the gift of seeing into the future was common practice in ancient times. However, you don’t have to be a psychic to predict the future. In the simple system of Cyclomancy, a revolving device, such as a wheel or revolving circle can be very effective tool for divination (ability to foretell the future by intuitive rather than scientific or rational means). The practice of Cyclomamcy may have been the origin of the roulette wheel as a game of chance. The “wheel-of-fortune” found at fair grounds which stops on prize-winning numbers or the TV “Wheel of Fortune” are also based on this concept. Cyclomancy has survived as the popular party kissing game “spin the bottle”, or in a combination of ‘Truth or Dare’. In this variation, the spinner gets to ask the person whom the bottle points to an intimate, personal question, which must be answered truthfully. In all these methods, the decision of the wheel is automatically fulfilled, so it is not surprising that many people believe that questions concerning their future can be answered by a similar contrivance.

CYCLOMANCY dates from time immemorial, and takes its name from the Latin word ‘Cyclomantia’ and from ancient Greek ‘Kyklos’ meaning a circle. Spinning arrows may be used instead of revolving wheels for telling fortunes. In occult practices the wheel will have astrological signs, numbers, letters, words or mystical symbolic makings around it. The powerful archetypal symbol of the ‘Wheel of fortune’ in the tarot deck reminds us of how random and unpredictable life can be. And that we are all subject to the workings of fate and Karma, in that what ever he/she sows he/she shall reap.

One form of divinational consultation is in finding geographical direction. When at a crossroad, take a bottle and lay it horizontally on the ground, and spin it. When it stops spinning, the neck of the bottle will point to the road where your destiny lies. Alternatively, before spinning the bottle ask a question with regards to the different directions, for example in which direction will I have the most fun, view the best sights or meet a new friends. Variations of the method use knifes or spinning tops.

In order to get started, first you're going to have to check your logic mind behind. It’s a bit like visiting the cinema and as you walk in the door agreeing with yourself that for the next 90 minutes or so you will suspend your sense of reality. Trusting your intuition is a lot like that, once you begin to ‘trust’ that your question will be answered, somehow the cosmic wheels begin to turn and you will receive the answer to your question.

This handy do-it-yourself divination tool can be used when seeking advice or answers to questions regarding past, present or future events. To make your own Cyclomancy fortune telling wheel, first cut a piece of card to the size of a dinner plate. Using a pen, divide the wheel into ten equal sections so that it looks similar to the spokes of a cycle wheel. Next pierce a hole in the centre with a skewer. Take three deep breaths and relax, as you do this gently begin to focus on the question that you would like to ask. When you feel ready spin the wheel and see where it stops. In a similar way an arrow could be secured to the centre by a pivot so that it freely revolves when given a sharp spin, the number that the arrow stops on being the significant one.

The analysis of the number is based on the ancient system of Numerology also known as Arithmomancy. The system was popular amongst early mathematicians such as Pythagoras who believed that each of the numbers one to nine had it’s own psychic or spiritual significance.

The interpretation of the numbers is as follows :

One - New beginnings, ideas and inspiration. Exciting new changes ahead in love, business, education.

Two - A need for tact and diplomacy. Two’s denote balance and harmony and fair play. Hidden things that need to be revealed. A period of waiting.

Three - Birth, pregnancy and marriage. A reason to celebrate or to go out and have fun. Your ships are coming in. Successful teamwork.

Four - Security, home, property, DIY around the house, time to take a break go on holiday.

Five - Problems to overcome, a time to be assertive, excess energy at your disposal. Watch out for jealousy and conflict amongst friends..

Six - Time to give and receive in many ways, money, time, support. A time of success, meeting old friends, compassion, travel. A time for making choices.

Seven - Staying in control via understanding, time for clear thinking, beware of deception, need to check security, time for evaluating a situation.

Eight - Determination to achieve goals, on-the-job study, dissatisfaction with an aspect of your life, feeling trapped, time to move on, end of delays.

Nine - Light at the end of the tunnel, preparation for a new beginning, smugness, and success, unnecessary worries.

Ten - Change, the end of a journey, success, family gatherings, support of others, idealism, a sense of community.

Fortune Telling by Observing Animals

It may seem a crazy notion that observing animals (Alectryomancy, Zoomancy, and Theriomancy) can be used to foretell ones future. But then on the other hand, selecting random tarot cards out of a pack of seventy-eight or deciphering a hand full of pebbles or seashells thrown to the ground also challenges the logic in us all. There are hundreds if not thousands of divinational systems (methods to forecast the future) that operate by intuitive rather than scientific or rational means. The premise of all these techniques is in the belief that there is a spiritual world that parallels our own. This incredible world is inhabited by highly intelligent beings often known as spirit guides or guiding angels who lovingly aid the human race in it’s development.

The actual process of how pebbles land in a particular pattern and why a particular tarot card was chosen and not another is as much a mystery to the experienced psychics as it is to the public. However, the key to building a rapport with any of the mantic arts (articles used to focus the intuitive process) is to first adopt a frame of mind in which there is a sense of suspension of ones everyday beliefs.

More than 2,400 years ago the people of ancient Italy (Etruscians) practised Alectryomancy. By utilising a hen or rooster the psychics of those days would draw a circle on the ground, around it where drawn twenty of the Etruscian alphabet. In front of each letter was placed a kernel of grain. The hen or cock was placed in the circle. As the bird ate the grain, the psychic would note down the letters next to the piece of grain and use this to predict the future or to answer a question asked by some one requesting guidance. This form of divination is related to the Ouija board, by the random selection of letters. In contrast, the Babylonians would splash water three times on the head of a sleeping ox. A psychic would interpret the future through observing seventeen possible reactions the ox would make. If for example both eyes opened the answer was ‘yes’. If only one eye opened the answer would be a maybe, and if they remained closed the answer was ‘no’.

Alectryomancy is still practised in many parts of the world. The African tribe of Zande uses a method where by two leaves are placed in an ant hill, if the ants eat the one on the left first the answer is ‘yes’, if the one on right, the answer is ‘no’. In the United States and Canada Groundhog Day is a traditional festival celebrated on February 2. If a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day and fails to see its shadow because the weather is cloudy, winter will soon end. If the groundhog sees its shadow because the weather is bright and clear, it will be frightened and run back into its hole, and the winter will continue for six more weeks.

Cats have always held a fascination for people and in some cultures held in high esteem. Felidomancy is divination through observing the behaviour of both domestic and wild cats. If a cat sneezes, licks its face or sleeps with it’s back to the fireplace, it is said to rain, if a black cat crosses your path in the British Isles it’s a sign of good luck (bad luck in the USA). A cat at a wedding is to assure a long happy marriage. All these predictions and omens stem from the age-old art of Felidomancy. Cats have often played an important part in religious and occult ceremonies in India and held in reverence by the Egyptians, Incas and Chinese.

In the Celtic divination system of Hippomancy horses where trained to walk in certain areas of consecrated groves. Psychics and priests would then make predictions from the observations of their movements; the prints left in the ground and even the amount of dust created. The custom of hanging horseshoes on the wall dates back to the times of Hippomancy. In England in the 1500’s they where hung in farmhouses as a charm against evil.

In Scandinavia psychics of the time would meditate as they watched fish swim within a stream or lake. Ichthyomancy was treated with great reverence and interpreting their movements could indicate anything from a successful battle to the sex of a child.

The divinational system of Ophimancy (observing the behaviour of snakes) is practised in many civilisations. Snakes were considered God-like creatures and messengers of information and omens. For example a coiled snake might mean be patient whilst one that was ready to strike meant act now with regards to the questioners predicament. Ornthomancy is divination by observing the flight of birds. It was practised in ancient Greece and Rome where the psychic would foretell the future by travelling to a holy place, and blindfolded, interpret the meaning of birds passing overhead with the aid of an apprentice who would describe them to him/her.

Angelina Jolie's Numerology; can she Juggle all her Careers?

With her current attachment with Brad Pitt, her work for the United Nations, and beautiful new daughter Shiloh to care for, Angelina Jolie seems to have her plate full for the next few months. With a huge following as an actress and a humanitarian, and so many demands on her time, what's in store for People Magazine's most beautiful woman in the next few years?

As a Numerologist, if I want to see what is in someone's future there are (3) main calculations which I look at: their Life Cycles, their Letters of Transit and their Personal Year. These values give me a number of clues about what's upcoming for a person, in a general way. Looking at these shows that the actress may have some big changes on the way.

===> Her Life Cycle

Angelina Jolie's first life cycle just ended with her 31st birthday in June 2006. This cycle featured an effort to achieve "balance" between her domestic life and her careers. She was often asked for advice and given many opportunities to be creative. The challenge of this cycle was to develop an awareness of the needs of other people. Certainly, her work for the United nations and in developing countries shows that she mastered this challenge.

Her birthday last June was the first major turning point in her Life as dictated by Numerology. It revealed a new direction for her. She has become focused on her personal needs at this time. She is also experiencing an opportunity to be more independent in some manner.

I would say that the birth of her new daughter, and her joining with Brad Pitt represent this turning point in her life.

Her second life cycle began with this turning point, and will run through June 2033. It will demand a good deal of hard work from her. Mundane matters will require a lot of her attention. She will receive many opportunities to build a strong foundation for success in both her family life, and her work. This period will be more serious and hectic than her first life cycle, if that's possible.

Amazingly, there is no single life challenge to be overcome in this cycle; instead she must overcome the various changes and conflicting events which will arise from one day to the next. Her challenge is dealing with her very hectic life.

===> Her Transit Letters

Transit letters are calculated from a person's full birth name and are the most detailed predictor of events unique to an individual. Angelina Jolie's transit letters have been quite stable through the last few years.

With her recent birthday, her transit letter of 'O' which had been in force for six years since June 2000 came to an end. This transit letter marked a time of calm and serenity in her life. She accepted responsibilities in her home life with the adoption of her children, and experienced improved finances during this time. The success of the 'Tomb Rader' movies, and 'Mr and Mrs. Smith' certainly made her one of Hollywood's best paid female stars.

With her last birthday, she gained an 'L' as a Transit letter. The next three years will be filled with socializing and making new friends. Her creativity will be very strong during this period, but she may waste many opportunities due to partying and having fun. This is not necessarily a bad thing for someone with as much on her plate as she has.

Her transit letter on 'N' has been in force for a while and will stay in her life until June 2009. She will experience many changes, possibly some travel, and tasks which will call on her to be adaptable. She will experience some ups and downs in her finances during this time, probably due to changes in her work schedule.

Her transit letter of 'H' has also been in force for many years, and will stay in her reading through 2009. This letter calls for professional growth and financial success during the years it holds sway. It also supports her becoming more independent in her life. But a bit of warning here, she needs to let things happen at their own pace. Trying to force the issue, particularly in her humanitarian causes will bring her frustration and delays.

===> Her Personal Year

2006 is a personal year (9) for Angelina Jolie. This is a time for winding up old task and commitments, and preparation for new opportunities in the following (1) personal year. 2007 is the following (1) personal year, a time of starting new task, new opportunities, and new ventures. This fits right in with her starting a new Life cycle this year.

===> Summation

In summation, I believe that the callings of family life and her humanitarian interest are going to demand more of Angelina's time and attention in the coming years. I believe she will still take some acting roles, but they will be less strenuous and time consuming than her work in the past. Perhaps she will do animation voice work, television guest appearances, or cameo roles in other peoples pictures in order to cut back on her time commitments. I look for her attachment with Brad Pitt to deepen, and for her family to continue to grow and prosper.

Astrology's Scorpio and Numerology; modifiers for your Horoscope

If your birth date falls in the range of October 24th through November 22nd, you were born under the sun sign of Scorpio the Scorpion. You probably know your Horoscope, but did you know that Numerology shows us a particular behavior for Scorpio based on your specific Date of Birth? We can find out this modifier by calculating your Birth Day number.

===> Birth Day Calculation

Your Birthday number is the date of the month you were born on, reduced to a single digit by fadic addition. For example, senator Hillary Clinton was born on October 26th 1947, so her Birthday number is (8) as shown below.

Birthday = (Day part of your birth date) = (26) = (2 + 6) = (8)

The Birth Day number values, and their affects on your Scorpio Horoscope are shown below.

===> Birth Day (1) - Blatant

You tend to be far too loud and obvious in your actions for most people's taste. A little discretion on your part would be helpful to you and your friends.

===> Birth Day (2) - Self-critical

You are way too much of a perfectionist; don't beat yourself up too much when you do make the occasional mistake. Excepting yourself, you take everything in stride; nothing phases you.

===> Birth Day (3) - Jealous

You have a tendency to be jealous; usually it's unwarranted. You also have a tenacity which can become a real strength for you. Just don't use it for the wrong reasons.

===> Birth Day (4) - Vindictive

You tend to be a cruel and vengeful adversary when crossed. Don't take every challenge personally, or you will find yourself with few true friends.

===> Birth Day (5) - Secretive

You hide things just for the sake of hiding them. Being a little suspicious of other people is natural, but you take it to extremes. For your own sake, take your partner into your confidence; don't keep secrets from them.

===> Birth Day (6) - Kind Hearted

You understand the old adage; "To err is human, to forgive divine." You have a kind heart and understand that people make mistakes, and can learn from them.

===> Birth Day (7) - Charismatic

You have a magnetic personality; and people are drawn to you. You also have a tendency not to share your friends with others, which you need to learn to overcome.

===> Birth Day (8) - Uncontrollable

You are very strong willed, and difficult to control. People find it very difficult to understand you, and they tend to dislike you for it. Others recognize your need for freedom of action.

===> Birth Day (9) - Psychic Gift

You have an intuitive knowledge of psychic nature that you may not admit to, but it is there. Call it reincarnation, gut feelings, or attuned to the universe, you know how to fit the pieces of a problem together without even thinking about it. You probably really frustrated your parents with this.
